'nostalgia memoir' is a publication project that translates the ways in which memory and emotion are triggered by sensory experiences into a visual language. Developed in response to an era characterised by rapid consumption and superficial reactions, the project aims to evoke memory and emotion through sensory experiences while encouraging deeper reflection. The project takes as its starting point the 'Proust Phenomenon’. a concept derived from the work of Marcel Proust. Structured around a non-linear cycle of sensation, memory, and emotion, the publication explores the interconnected nature of these experiences. To embody this non-linearity physically, the book was produced in a reversible format with no fixed beginning or end. This allows readers to enter the flow of memory from any point, creating an open and subjective reading experience.
